TIPInstall before you fly. Your plan only starts when it first connects at your destination.

When does my plan start?

When the eSIM first connects at your destination. Not when you buy or install it.

Your plan's days start when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it and not when you install it.

So install it at home, on Wi-Fi, whenever suits you. You can install it any time up to 180 days before your trip.

Good to know

  • Your plan length (7 days, 30 days and so on) counts from that first connection.
  • "Unlimited" and Day Pass plans reset their daily allowance each day. What they mean.
  • You can see the days left in My eSIMs once it's running.
  • Some eSIMs can find a network before you land (for example on a stop-over in a country it covers). To be safe, leave the kimsim line switched off until you arrive.
